POSITION
Summary: Act as the educational leader of Valeo School, responsible for the effective execution of policies adopted by the Valeo Board. Serve as leader to develop and implement policies, procedures, programs, curriculum activities and budgets in a manner that promotes the educational development of each student and the professional development of each staff member.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND
Responsibilities:
Spiritual Growth
Ensure spiritual curriculum is implemented.
Provide leadership and direction for regular chapel settings.
Ensure a time of morning devotion for staff at least once a week.
Oversee weekly faculty meeting.
Instructional Management
Develop academic programs.
Responsible for planning for the upcoming school year.
Work with the teachers to annually evaluate the curriculum guide, scope and sequence and course offerings.
Management of Fiscal, Administrative, and Facilities Functions
Ensure educational standards and goals and establish the policies and procedures to achieve them.
Administer recordkeeping, prepare budgets, and utilize the resource to best meet the educational needs of the student.
Assist in preparing budgets and reports on various subject, including finances and attendance, and overseeing the requisition and allocation of supplies.
Overseeing summer school.
Work with facilities to ensure building repairs and improvements are completed.
Ensure ACSI accreditation standards are met.
Assist executive director with annual budgeting and other financial aspects of the school.
Prepare annual accreditation reports.
School/Organizational Climate
Administrate all safety drills for the school.
Foster a culture amongst staff that encourages spiritual and professional development, and an atmosphere that fosters excellence, diligence, steadfastness, respectability, courtesy, humility, teamwork and joy.
Work closely with leadership of church.
Personnel Management
Supervise managers, support staff, teachers, and other employees.
Actively work with teachers to develop and maintain high curriculum standards, set performance goals and objectives.
Evaluate and help improve the skills of teachers and other staff.
Observe teaching methods, review instructional objectives, and examine learning materials.
Ensure the school had adequate staff for the school year.
Responsible for new teacher orientation and teacher in-service.
Overseee the hiring of new teachers.
Provide annual performance evaluation for staff.
Work with church personnel regarding finances, HR, facility maintenance and other business related items.
Counsel with teachers who are needing guidance and direction for themselves personally or with individual students in the classroom.
Plan and implement all teacher training during in-service days, as well as weekly teacher meetings and daily devotions.
Student Management
Review and update admissions policy.
Monitor students' educational progress.
Oversee and support Academic Counselors with career counseling and other student services.
Ensure that students meet state and local academic standards.
Manage student services such as guidance programs.
Assist with the testing of all new students.
Meet with and discuss behavior, discipline issues, and administrative discipline decisions with students.
School/Parent/Community Relations
Develop and oversee an admissions policy.
Develop relationships with parents, prospective and current students.
Meet and interact with other administrators, students, parents and representatives of community organizations.
Develop partnerships and relationships in the community (ie. members of the Chamber of Commerce).
Responsible for developing relationships with parents, students and community.
Responsible for facilitating parent/teacher conferences.
Plan, schedule, and facilitate all parenting classes for Valeo school.
Ensure prospective parents receive a personal tour, information about the school, and interview new families upon acceptance.
Conduct new parent meetings with all new parents.
Deal with daily problems that teachers have with students, parents etc.
Counsel with parents and/or students who are struggling with academics, emotional issues, spiritual issues, family issues.
Work to raise funds to support annual budget.
Develop, oversee and evaluate the Parenting Program.
Professional Growth and Development
Train and motivate teachers and other staff.
Participate in workshops for teachers and administrators.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
