As a key player within the SAP PLM team, you will work with the organization to design, document, configure, implement and deliver Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) SAP systems and processes. The primary functional areas that the position will likely focus on will include both Engineering Change Management and Project and Portfolio Management. It is very important that you have solid knowledge of engineering and PLM processes.
The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of SAP PLM including hands-on configuration and implementation experience. This includes knowledge of CAD along with one or more SAP modules such as DMS, MM, BOM, ECM, Engineering Record, EH&S, RPM/PPM, and the PLM 7 Web UI. Candidates should have experience in the implementation of engineering business processes.
Responsibilities:
o You will be responsible for supporting project implementation and ongoing maintenance activities of SAP PLM solutions according to specifications and schedules, while meeting quality requirements
o You will analyze customers business goals, objectives, needs, and existing infrastructure, and apply best practices and software development principles and concepts to develop solutions and strategies
o Translate a conceptual alternative into a descriptive model, specification, data flow diagram or other relevant methods that defines the system components which must be delivered
o You will have the opportunity to configure SAP PLM modules as required to meet business needs
o Develop technical specifications from which application customizations will be written based on business requirements
o Work with programmers to communicate and ensure understanding of programming requirements including review work activities for completeness and technical accuracy
o Perform functionality tests of new and updated applications and systems to verify desired results are achieved
o The individual within the SAP PLM role will evaluate results and coordinates or makes modifications to improve system performance. Create test plans as required
o Identify issues that will delay on-time delivery and assists in resolving them
o Communicate to management direction, status, and problems and works with stakeholders to overcome obstacles and complete projects
o Prepare and document program requirements, specifications, test plans and scripts, and user documentation
o You will resolve day-to-day user system support issues related to system functionality, performance, efficiency, and availability of production systems
o Deliver high quality, tested applications
PREFERRED:
to be successful you really need to have solid experience configuring and implementing SAP PLM 7 You should also have extensive experience with integration points between SAP modules particularly ECC, RPM, CRM, EH&S, and BW/BI.
EH&S and Compliance Management - REACH and RoHS/WEEE
Engineering or manufacturing experience
Experience with other PLM systems
REQUIRED:

Strong communication, organization and planning, and interpersonal skills
