Summary:
As a member of the Finance Group, the Analyst/Sr. Analyst will play a vital role in supporting the forecasting, budgeting and analytical processes. The position will act as a business partner to other department leads and will provide decision support, business and operational planning, and variance analysis.
Essential Functions:
Serve crucial liaison role between the corporate planning team and the departmental finance groups in all areas related to financial planning and analysis
Prepare high-visibility presentations for executive management and Board of Directors
Create external guidance of financial and operational performance metrics
Spearhead monthly forecast process which includes summarization and consolidation of results vs. budget & forecast for executive distribution
Prepare an insightful monthly executive financial report-out with the ability to clearly articulate key drivers and suggest action plans if necessary
Lead the financial and operational partners through the annual budgeting process
Leverage cross-functional task force to continually enhance cash flow and balance sheet forecasting, providing vital information to both internal and external stakeholders, as well as enabling capital investment decision-making
Prepare ad hoc financial analyses and other duties as necessary to support the team
Work with operational partners to create long-term financial models that lay the foundation for growth
Drive comparative analytics and benchmarking versus competition, use external knowledge to drive improvement relative to internal financial metrics
Continually develop and refine internal financial modeling (ROI, etc.)
Qualifications:
Excellent understanding of financial statements
Excellent Microsoft Excel and financial modeling skills
Excellent PowerPoint skills
Strong analytical, quantitative, interpersonal, communication and organizational skills
Proven ability to work on and manage multiple projects within tight timelines
Self-motivated to work independently and also be a team player
Excellent attention to detail
Adaptable, energetic, and strategic
Education and/or Experience
BS/BA degree in Finance/Accounting or Business Management
At least 2 years of experience in corporate financial planning and analysisEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
