In this role, you will support our contracting needs and strategy as they relate to the sale of products and services to Convergint's government customers, our compliance with applicable government rules and regulations, and our interactions with agencies, officials, and other partners. You will work hand-in-hand with other members of the legal team and our business partners on developing Convergint's offerings government customers. As a Government Contracts and Compliance Manager you are a part of a dynamic legal team that allows you to grow as Convergint grows. Develop and grow our business, operations, compliance and legal framework as it relates to the sale of products and services to our Federal, State, Local and Education government customers. Support the (i) the negotiation and documentation of government sales agreements on behalf of the Company, (ii) the review and implementation of policies, processes and monitoring to ensure compliance with government regulations, including, Federal Acquisition Regulations (FARs), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS), and other applicable government or agency specific regulations; (iii) internal investigations as subject matter expert; and (iv) M&A due diligence. Draft or update corresponding processes, guidelines and policies as needed to support government customers. Develop and deliver training to internal sales and business colleagues on commercial and compliance requirements for government customers. Partner with and counsel business leaders across varying levels of our organization to support our government sales strategy, providing clear and practical guidance to business leaders. You Have JD from an accredited law school. Minimum of 6 years Federal government compliance and procurement experience such as legal counsel, procurement manager, contracting officer or contracting officer technical representative, DCMA or DCAA auditor. In-depth knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FARs), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS), and other relevant procurement statutes and regulations. Experience with drafting and negotiating federal and commercial documents such as contracts, subcontracts, Teaming Agreements and non-disclosure agreements. Experience with collaborating with cross-functional teams and business leaders to develop comprehensive, business-oriented solutions to problems. Understanding of compliance and regulatory requirements related to government contracts. Curious thinker who has experience with complex business models and identifying process improvements. Commitment to a creative, inclusive, and diverse workplace, and ability to contribute to a sense of belonging in the broader Legal Department. Ability to operate independently with minimal supervision to negotiate commercial contracts and keep up to date on changes in government compliance. Experience advising on competition and lobbying matters relevant to government contractors is a plus. Experience advising on IT, cybersecurity, data security, supply chain, and other highly technical concepts and associated regulatory and contractual requirements is a plus. Strong sense of ownership of work product and ability to proactively anticipate needs of the legal department and business units Pragmatic and practical approach to legal advice and legal support. Ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment. Thrives in a constantly evolving environment by showing high adaptability.
