The successful candidate will perform various order management and support functions including order entry, purchasing, and expediting that support multiple areas of our business.
This individual will have a solid understanding of purchase order/invoicing capabilities using internal business systems including a strong knowledge of computer applications as well as demonstrating excellent written and verbal communication skills.
This individual will foster positive internal and external customer experiences and expectations with multiple forms of communication, including email and phone? Order Management Specialist
Responsibilities:
Manage aspects of customer orders including order entry, purchasing, invoicing, and expediting Reconcile customer purchase orders across various business areas, ensuring accuracy in details such as payment terms, shipping information, and payment details Provide day-to-day phone support to customers, addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly and professionally Collaborate with internal teams to understand customer needs and ensure requests are fulfilled efficiently Develop and maintain strong relationships with both internal and external customers Execute proactive customer reporting and documentation Handle customer expediting requests by coordinating with internal groups and ensuring timely responses Participate in customer meetings as required Procure necessary parts through purchase order entry, vendor correspondence, pricing, and overseeing timely delivery Support and enhance vendor relationships Demonstrate understanding of inventory management principles.
Competently handle technical product purchase orders and service contracts Navigate efficiently between multiple software programs Resolve customer order issues in a timely and professional manner Possess a basic understanding of logistics Actively contribute to achieving company goals Perform other duties as require Requirements:
Order Management Specialist Education and
Experience:
High School Diploma Required or equivalent ERP business management software experience with a preference in Salesforce or IFS platforms High computer application literacy including Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced Microsoft Excel skills Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience preferred Order Management Specialist Additional Requirements:
Quickly embraces, learns and applies new technology and/or procedures Excellent interpersonal, verbal communication skills and proven ability maintain high customer service Ability to work in the office/shop environment on their scheduled workdays Ability to manage difficult or emotional situations and respond promptly to internal customer needs High energy, initiative, enthusiasm, cooperation, and good judgment Meticulous attention to detail Capacity to build and support teamwork Order Management Specialist Physical Requirements:
Ability to work extended hours on a computer Order Management Specialist Career Growth:
Within 6 months to 1 year, we will provide you with the resources and guidance to grow into our Account Coordinator position.
From there you will become more exposed to different areas of our business, and we will help you create your path forward.
