The Boston based company specializes in handling complex logistical operations, including e-commerce fulfillment pick-pack and ship, returns management, specialized packaging and kitting, mailing services, distribution management and long-term warehousing.
As part of our expansion plans, we aim to establish our second fulfilment center in the bustling city of Schaumburg, IL.
The Opportunity:
We are seeking a skilled Fulfillment Operations Manager, who will lead the setup of our second fulfillment center located in about 7,000 SF space in Schaumburg.
Interested individuals who have expertise in all aspects of the business including client development, operations and team building, technology integration, billing and day to day client servicing will thrive in this role.
You will be consistently supported and guided by the experience and expertise of the senior management team to structure operations within the new facility.
The Role:
To be successful, candidates must have an in-depth understanding of the Ecommerce and 3PL fulfilment industry and the nuances of local market and competition.
The applicant will be responsible for executing the marketing strategy and business plan, to efficiently build this operation from the ground up and therefore your role will be that of the commander who seeks to lead.
The role requires a go-getter, willing to take charge and execute the vision of the XoLogistic brand! Essential Duties and Responsibilities of the Fulfillment Operations Manager Manage all day-to-day operations of Order Fulfillment, Pick-Pack, Shipping and Returns, Kitting, OMS/WMS system updates, Direct Mail, Client Support, Billing and Inventory Control activities.
Effectively work with clients being developed and convert new leads into clients.
Recruit and manage a support team to assist daily operations.
Develop financial budgets, forecast demand and recommend resources required for implementation.
Candidate must have sound working knowledge of VeraCore and 3PL Central or other similar platforms.
Regularly provide insights to the management team on the competitive market scenario, operational changes, team needs and seasonal headwinds.
Implement recommendations of the Senior Management, as relevant to the market Minimum required
Qualifications:
Minimum 8
years of proven experience in the fulfillment industry Minimum 5 years of management experience Ability to demonstrate effective leadership skills, team management and sound communication Ability to resolve issues with sound time management and organizational skills In-depth knowledge of direct mail, fulfillment and inventory control functions.
